Great ski route from the Schlinig Valley via the Sesvenna Hut to the Grionkopf on the border with Switzerland
Through the village to the Schliniger Alm and further to the material cable car. Slight ascent to below the Black Wall. Up on the right and above the wall to the left (poles and rope) into flatter terrain and straight to the nearby Sesvenna Hut (2250 m, about 2 hours – open in the ski season, otherwise winter room open). From the Sesvenna Hut to the Schlinig Pass (2309 m). After a weakly distinct gully on the right side, slightly ascending from right to left to the next hollow (2350 m). Again moderately ascending to the left until reaching the upper end of a prominent gully at 2550 m. Always flat in the same direction (not too high) up to 2580 m. Then about 40 meters of height diagonally into the valley. Through hollows on the left to a ledge, 2700 m. Straight up and diagonally right upwards to the ridge (2800 m). Left over the ridge to the summit with a cross. Descent as ascent.
