Roadbook
From the Stockerhütte, we hike behind the toll barrier along the toboggan run in ten switchbacks up to the Jamnigalm. Beyond that, we cross the Tauernbach and traverse the steep slope on a hollow path up to the Laschghütte. We bypass the rock outcrop of the Laschgwand on the left to the wide ramp, which leads along the right side of the Tauern valley gorge past the Tauern cross to the long-sighted Alten Tauernhaus. Over a short steep ascent to the right, we reach the saddle and in a few steps go left up to the Hagener Hütte. However, we turn right and ascend the broad and moderately steep west slope to the forepeak of the Greilkopf. A few meters down into the intermediate saddle, then depending on snow conditions with skis or on foot in short steps, lastly somewhat steeper up to the Greilkopf with a metal summit cross.
Descent along the ascent route. From the intermediate saddle, one can descend directly over the steep south hollow down to the Tauern cross under safe conditions. At a suitable spot, you can also descend over steep slopes into the Tauernbach gorge. Now narrower in the gorge or over wide slopes to the right down to the Jamnigalm and back to the starting point along the toboggan run.
