The Glockhauser lies on the sunny side of the Langtauferer Valley.
Starting point is the parking lot in Melag (1950 m). Walk up the meadow all the way to the end of a ski lift. Diagonally right uphill under an avalanche protection dam, past a waysign cross and flat left into the valley, until it forks. (Attention: steep slopes on the left, possibly avalanche danger! Possibly go on the right side of the creek!). Climb through a steep hollow between rock blocks and then diagonally left over a ridge into another hollow. Under the Western Hennesiglkopf (3013 m) moderate ascent far to the left to the southern ridge of the Glockhauser. Steeply uphill on the far left and over the southwest side to the summit. – Descent same as ascent or – if snow conditions are safe – straight downhill from the summit slope into the Schönkar and, keeping left, into the valley end to the ascent track. To the Eastern Hennesiglkopf (3013 m) and the Hennesiglspitze (3131 m) follow the main valley (both steep routes).
