Author’s recommendation
- The summit is very exposed and difficult.
- In spring, choose the ascent along the descent track when the crocuses are already blooming at the surface lift, because along the rock ridge the snow stays the longest.

From the Berghaus Malbun along the surface lift. Then at a clearly visible tree stump into a forest track and briefly through the forest.
Upwards through the alpine pasture area and then reaching the alp. Underneath the Hanenspil follows a traverse across the slope.
Gently ascending towards Glannachopf and passing this on the left. Then follows the summit slope up to the notch.
There are several variants for the descent. In principle, the terrain between the slope traverse and the descent track on the map can be chosen. We followed the descent track, so left along a rock ridge, because there was the most snow there.
At the end, you meet a forest track that crosses back into the lift area.
