From the starting point east above Namlos over the meadow, past a wildlife feeding area, and over nice gentle slopes to Engeltal. Here flat into the ravine (avalanche danger from above!!) until it gets steeper. There cross it and ascend right into the forest. Higher up through progressively thinning forest to the open ridge slopes.
In the upper part mostly wind-scoured and somewhat more challenging between the protruding dwarf pines.
The ridge becomes narrower and ends in the summit ridge. Descent as ascent.
