Eastern Highwart

The starting point is the car park at the bridge in front of the Luzer farm (1550 m). From the farm, an alpine path leads left for about 1:30 km to the Egger-Bödenalm. From here, go straight up the slope across meadows and in a steep traverse to the right to a small hay hut (1910 m). There follows a short traverse into a likewise short and steep gully, through which you come up to the left into a flatter valley. Cross left above the stream and a rock (summer path) and a few metres down to a narrow passage and out of this into the shallow valley (2035 m). Now continue straight ahead to the left of the stream and pass the Eisbruggalm (2154 m) on the left. Continue in a long ascent from left to right towards a saddle on the left of a round mountain. Climb up a steep slope into this saddle (2510 m). Now left through a hollow into the next saddle (2600 m) and into the large Obervalskar cauldron.
