Ski touring in beautiful dolomite winter scenery
Ascent: We go along the valley as far as the small church of San Silvestro. We turn right and go up the Val de Chedul along a steep path, no. 12. After a gate we arrive at a steep valley which we cross all the way up to the wood. We follow the route down into the valley or we keep to the left until we reach an open valley plateau. The next slope is very steep and we cross it along the left side until we reach a plateau below the sides of Mont Dessëura. We continue among large boulders along the flat valley and then cut diagonally left until we reach a steep slope leading up to the Forcella de Crespëina (2,528 m). In safe snow conditions we can go up the slope to a small pass and then traverse the north face of a rock to Forcella de Crespëina. a) We go right up the forcella on our skis – then without skis –we go past some rocky formations and a flat mound, and continue all the way to the summit. b) In safe snow conditions we can go up some steep slopes directly to the summit before
