The ski route on Blatinden offers various ascent and descent options. The view of the fjord fascinates throughout the route.
The ski route on Blatinden is among the most beautiful and rather easier routes in the region. Blatinden is often referred to as the "sleeping soldier" due to a legend. The various ascent and descent options offer varied choices for both beginners and experienced ski tourers. The main ascent route runs south-facing to the summit, making it pleasantly warm on sunny days. The start leads about 600 meters in elevation through a flat, initially wooded area. Then the terrain gradually gets steeper over the next 400 meters in elevation, but remains under 35° with careful track selection. On the last hundred meters in elevation, a spacious, flat summit plateau opens. Even with frequent use, the wide snowfields often still offer the possibility to find untracked powder snow. A rewarding and versatile route that constantly offers spectacular views of the surrounding fjord.
