Below Schieferstein (2)

Parking is at House Stiedelsbach 60 (parking at your own risk until further notice).

Then follow the Peilstein farm track for about 100 m and immediately after a small bridge turn right, along the slope and past a weekend cabin on the right. Continue up the meadow, rising to the left of the Sulzner farm.

Then cross the road to Miesriegl and follow the summer path to Schieferstein for about 50 m. Before the stream bed, turn sharply right onto a meadow. Go up this meadow, at the end on the left a small ditch leads to another short meadow.

At the left end of the meadow, follow a tractor track. Before that, you have to climb over a pasture fence. Note: climb over, don't break off!!
Follow this sometimes poorly visible tractor track upwards. Then cross out to the right and go quite pathlessly up through the forest. With little snow, this can already be somewhat unpleasant.

Finally, you reach a forest road which you follow briefly uphill. After a few hundred meters, follow the signs on the right to Schieferstein.

After reaching the "David-Hütte", continue on the summer path uphill until just before the junction "Gschoad - Schieferstein". Cross briefly out of the forest to the left and end the ascent here.

Descent:
The first 50 m lead through newly cultivated young forest. Please be careful here that no seedlings are damaged. Descend down the inviting meadow slope to the right of the hut and to the left of another hut ride into the left meadow towards Miesriegl. Shortly before reaching the path at the end of the meadow, a small path leads through the left forest edge.

Follow this briefly level path to the left and reach the junction of the summer path to Schieferstein. Then right down the long slope, past the Miesriegl farm on the right. Below the farm, shortly before the lower end of the meadow, a small path crosses a stream bed on the left.

Then follow the ascent track downhill to the parking lot
