Ascent
From Hotel Schmelzhof, you can go directly across the meadow past Hotel Bergheim on the left and take the path to Madloch in a left curve. Passing the shelter hut, keep right and you reach the Bärenkopf directly.
Descent
Along the ascent route. Alternatively, you could also descend via the slope to Zug.
Public transport
Public-transport-friendly
By train from Innsbruck or Bregenz to St. Anton or Langen am Arlberg. Change to bus no. 91 from Langen or bus no. 92 from St. Anton to Lech.Directions
From Innsbruck, take the A12 and the S16 west to the junction “St. Anton am Arlberg”. On L 197 via St. Anton and St. Christoph to the junction for Zürs - Lech. On L 198 over the Flexenpass first to Zürs and then to Lech.
From Bludenz, take the S16 east to the exit “Langen am Arlberg”. Continue to the junction of L198 to Zürs - Lech.
Alternatively, via the Bregenzerwald or the Lech valley to Warth and turn off here to Lech.
