Ahrner Kopf

The starting point is the Kasern parking lot, Nature Park House (1600 m). On the road with driving prohibition, go 1 km downstream to Prastmann/Heilig Geist. Cross the bridge on the right and go downstream until just before Labesaualm. Turn right through a small valley up to the first valley floor. On the right side into the valley and over a knoll to the second valley floor. Continue on the right side to two rock formations above the stream gorge on the right. Under these rocks, cross steeply above the stream gorge back to flat terrain. This section is tricky during hard snow or avalanche danger. Go straight through flat hollows until the slopes rise again. Over well-terraced terrain, reach a flat hollow from which a narrow, steep little valley rises. Climb this to its end, then left onto a ridge (P.2691 on the map). Continue from the ridge, then left into the slope leading to a shoulder right of the summit at 2930 m. From here, depending on snow conditions, climb steeply diagonally
