Most of the time you can start skiing from the parking lot on the cross-country ski trail. You follow it for about 1.5 km to the Heilig-Geist chapel. Then descend into the valley to the Labesaualm, pass it, and then enter the Windtal, from where you can already see the summit and the ascent route. You follow the Windtal to the valley end and then follow the summer path into a rather steep slope until you reach a flat hollow. Then over a ridge, here keep to the left and thus reach a broad hollow again. From this, you go diagonally right towards the west ridge. This leads to the approximately 35° steep summit slope, which you follow over the ridge towards a large cairn (2870 m). This leads you onto the west ridge, which you then follow to the left towards the summit.
On the descent, you can follow the ascent tracks or, after the summit slope, head west. This way you can bypass the rocky ridge and as soon as you reach the adjacent hollow, you reach the ascent track again by keeping to the right.
