Rouillac: local loop 27 - loop C

This challenging circuit is intended for experienced cyclists or adventurers wishing to travel the route on a multi-day trip. The departure is from the Community of Communes parking lot. Along the route, you will cross several villages and discover a rich and varied heritage. In Val d'Auge, admire the covered washhouse from the 19th century and the Logerie manor, a relic of a noble past. The route then leads you to the Romanesque church of Saint-Clément of Bonneville, dating from the 12th century, housing frescoes from the 14th century. Continue towards Gourville, Ferrières, and Le Breuil, where a white path guides you to the large distillery of Lignères, a former European benchmark. Then, explore the Gallo-Roman site of Bouchauds and enjoy a breathtaking view of the Nouère valley. The end of the route uses a greenway, follows the old Petit Rouillac railway line, then crosses several typical villages such as Saint-Genis-d'Hiersac, Echallat, and Vaux-Rouillac, offering exceptional heritage: manor houses, churches, and castles. Whatever the season, this circuit reveals landscapes with magnificent colors, blending heritage, nature, and history.
