Monte Baldo, the second
Anyone who has ever been cycling on Monte Baldo will want to return again and again. The views are simply fantastic, both of the surrounding mountains and down to the lake. And unlike the crowded lake, it is a bit quieter on the ridges, especially when you are further away from the gondola station.
From Lazise on SP 31 heading east. At the first junction ➊ turn right onto SP 31b towards Ronchi. After passing under SS450 at junction ➋ turn right and follow SP 31a. At the roundabout after the motorway bridge ➌ turn left to the Adige Valley canal ➍ and follow upstream on the east side of the canal. After 5.8 km at the weir, pass through a left bend ➎ and continue uphill on the road. At the main road junction in Rivoli Veronese ➏ turn right through the town. At the town exit ➐ keep right into a narrow road and after Ceraino castle descend again to the Adige. At the junction by the motorway underpass ➑ turn right onto SP 11 and continue for 16 km to Mama di Sotto ➒. There continue straight on SP 90 to Avio ➓. Turn left into Valle dei Molini towards Monte Baldo. Long climb to San Valentino. Below the reservoir Lago Pra de la Stua ⓫ turn right. At the junction with SP 3 turn left to Bocca del Creer (Rifugio Graziani) ⓬. Descent and ascent to Bocca di Navene ⓭. Follow the road, do not
