This route in the northeast of Mallorca to the monastery church Ermita de Betlem is almost lonely. The hills in the east have somewhat stronger, although shorter, inclines than in the west.
The first and last part of the route runs along the fairly busy Ma-12 road, which is no problem considering the beautiful landscapes and the roadside strip. Only shortly before Artà does it go a bit uphill in gentle waves. With its cozy old town, Artà (8,000 inhabitants) is suitable for a coffee or lunch stop. Behind the fortress, after ten kilometers on the Ma-3333, you reach the Ermita de Betlem. The road leads through beautiful landscapes and winds shortly before the monastery church in curves through the Serra de Llevant. The return to Artà follows the same route, then we turn southwest. The roads through the hills in the east run surprisingly straight and therefore have somewhat stronger, although shorter, inclines than in the west of Mallorca. The round tour through the lonely region ends with a long straight stretch over a rocky plateau before, after a beautiful descent, you encounter the Ma-12 again.
