Leaving Carnikava, the road winds through a fragrant pine forest of the Seaside Nature park until it reaches the dunes and the fine sandy beaches of the Baltic sea. The longest stretch of this stage (around 12 km)offers an experience of the shores of the Gulf of Riga. The day closes at Vecāķi, once a fishermen’s village, then a popular summer house district in the 19th century which today has become a beloved recreation area for the inhabitants of Riga.
No Carnikavas ceļš ved cauri Piejūras dabas parka smaržīgo priežu apaugušām kāpām līdz Baltijas jūras smilšainajai pludmalei un tālāk aptuveni 12 km gar Rīgas jūras līča krastu līdz Vecāķiem, kas no kādreizējā zvejnieku ciemata un 19. gs vasarnīcu rajona mūsdienās izaudzis par rīdzinieku iemīļotu atpūtas vietu.
