Stage Camposampiero-Padova: from the Sanctuary of Noce to the Basilica of the Saint, following the footsteps of St. Anthony. Flat, easy route, mostly well-pressed gravel.
To be done on foot or by bike, this route is mostly on embankments. It is the initial stage of the Path of Saint Anthony and recalls the last journey made by the Saint, from Camposampiero to Padova. It is possible to request the Pilgrim’s credential at: Sanctuary of Noce, Sanctuary of Arcella, and Basilica of the Saint.
The itinerary runs mostly on country dirt roads and embankments (along the Muson river) up to the gates of Padova (Pontevigodarzere), touching asphalt only for some unavoidable crossings. This makes the Last Path of Saint Anthony safe for pilgrims traveling on foot or by bicycle, as well as genuinely interesting for its naturalistic and landscape aspects. From Pontevigodarzere, some urban neighborhoods must be crossed. In recent years, internal cycling and pedestrian routes have been gradually identified (particularly regarding the main axis that leads from Pontevigodarzere to Arcella) to allow a quiet and peaceful passage.

Roadbook
The starting point is the rest area with the illustrative panel shaped like a cart located between the Sanctuary of Noce and the Sanctuary of Vision in Camposampiero.
Exiting the sanctuary road (Via Sant'Antonio), at the stop, cross Via S. Antonio to enter the green space ahead. Turn left for a short stretch along the river, then at the bridge, immediately turn right and continue straight towards the center of Camposampiero. At the stop, turning left, you reach Piazza Castello. You pass in front of the crenellated town hall building flanked by a high medieval tower belonging to the ancient castle of the Counts of Camposampiero.
Continuing left, you meet the main road, the “Statale del Santo,” which runs through the town center. Cross the state road at the pedestrian crossings and immediately enter an arched corridor open to the building opposite (in Contrà de Nodari). You pass a first bridge near a supermarket, cross Via Federico Cordenons, and then cross a second small wooden bridge leading to a large parking lot. Continue straight on the sidewalk crossing it west-east, then turn right on Via Giorgione, at the stop turn left on Via Tiso da Camposampiero. From here, continue straight for about 350 m until you reach the Muson river.
