Lake Tenno round route

Lake Tenno is a true natural jewel of Trentino, which for its incredible shades of turquoise-blue is called by some the "Blue Lake." Its shape is perfectly round. Nestled in an untouched alpine landscape, the lake has a surface area of about 195,190 m² and is situated at 570 m above sea level. At the end of the rainy period in autumn, the lake level is 15 meters higher than in the summer, when the small island in the lake is accessible on foot. In winter this island disappears and only the trees emerge from the lake. Unlike the area of Lake Garda, here time seems to have stopped. There are no buildings around the lake; the landscape is characterized by a dense forest. This, along with the white stones at the bottom, gives the lake its greenish-blue color with an almost tropical appearance. Lake Tenno cannot be reached by car and is accessed via a long medieval staircase. This lake is a true oasis of tranquility and thanks to its crystal-clear waters and extremely pleasant temperatures it is also ideal for swimming. Additionally, you can enjoy pleasant walks around the lake.
