Connection from Brno southwards: Strachotin - Poysdorf
Pilgerwege Tschechien
This stage from Strachotin to Poysdorf is varied and can be completed in one stage or in two, depending on your condition. At the beginning, we cross the reservoir on the dam and pass through the village of Dolní Věstonice on the south side. On the ascent to the last hill in the Czech Republic, we next pass by Devicky Castle before reaching the last town in the Czech Republic via Klentnice - Mikulov with its monastery on the "Holy Mountain" - a popular pilgrimage site. Here you will find everything a pilgrim needs.
If you want to continue pilgrimaging further, the next step is crossing the Czech-Austrian border and arriving at Kleinschweinbarth where we join the first stage of the "Weinviertel Pilgrimage Route," which begins in Drasenhofen to our left. From here, we walk past picturesque vineyards and charming cellar lanes to the wine and sparkling wine town of Poysdorf, where this route documentation ends at the church.
