Camino Francés. Stage 6b. Estella - Los Arcos (via Montejurra)

The route between Estella (Lizarra) and Los Arcos has an alternative after passing the Irache Monastery and its picturesque wine fountain: to leave the Camino by a marked variant that runs along the slope of Montejurra or, in Basque, Jurramendi. It is 8 km of gradual ascent with a positive elevation gain of 364m until reaching 713 meters above sea level, followed by a gradual descent where we find Luquin (Lukin), the only village with services on this path. The variant rejoins the main Camino a short distance from here and continues towards Los Arcos, the end of the stage.
