Austrian Jakobsweg: Eugendorf - Hinterreit

We start our stage at the church in Eugendorf and shortly after leave Eugendorf heading west on Konrad-Seydestrasse, following the signs of the Jakobsweg. On Einleitenweg, we walk down to the left towards the forest. We stay on this path until Hallwang. We walk through Hallwang, pass a small lake, and reach Bergstrasse, which takes us to Berg. We then go down and reach the railway line, which we cross. We follow Wickenburgallee to Kasern and further to the federal road. On Plainwaldweg, we continue through the forest, and at the end of the forest, we turn right onto Plainbergweg uphill to the pilgrimage church Maria Plain. Highly recommended to spend some time here. We leave Maria Plain on the same path down, after the forest we keep right and so reach down to the Westautobahn. After the motorway, we continue to the district heating plant and thus reach the bank of the Salzach, which we follow for a long time. At Makartsteg we cross the Salzach and enter the center of the city of Salzburg. There is naturally much to see and admire here. Accommodation is available at every price level. From Domplatz, we go northwest to Karajanplatz and use the tunnel under Mönchsberg. Soon we pass the Stiegl brewery and then are on the Glan Treppelweg, which we follow for about 1.6 km; here we make a curve to the left and soon right again back onto the Treppelweg where we cross the creek and follow Kräutlerweg along the creek on the right side to Walzstraße, where we turn right continuing past Schweizersiedlung into Viehausen. On Viehauserstrasse, we leave the village to the left, pass under the motorway on Goiserstrasse towards Gois. In the village first to the left at the edge of the village, then right again to the motorway and underneath to almost Moosbach, where it goes right continuing near the motorway to Grossgmainer Straße where we pass the inn Wartberg. Continuing on this street we arrive at Hinterreit where we spend the night.

Basically, we follow the official signage of the Austrian Jakobsweg. Good accommodation options are available at all places along the way. The design of the stage length can be adjusted by the pilgrim according to their needs. These notes apply to all stages.
The pilgrim route from Purkersdorf west of Vienna to Lofer/Waidring is called "Austrian Jakobsweg", from there we will continue westward on the "Jakobsweg Tirol".
At the Salzburg Cathedral begins the Pre-Alpine Jakobsweg, which leads from Salzburg to Bavaria/Germany and there merges into the Munich Jakobsweg. Until almost the end of our stage, the Pre-Alpine Jakobsweg follows the same route before leaving us northwards.
