Arrival by train:
The Neusiedler See is easy & comfortable to reach by train. Whether you come from Switzerland, Germany, the west or south of Austria: you can change trains conveniently at Vienna main station. The ÖBB regional trains take you to Neusiedl am See station in just under 40 minutes, where coordinated bus and train connections towards Pamhagen / Fertőszentmiklós or Eisenstadt and Sopron are also offered. On most trains, bike transport is possible: on Railjet and EC/IC as well as Nightjets, a reservation for your bike is absolutely necessary. On regional trains, your bike is taken without reservation, depending on the availability of the existing bike spaces.
