From the forest car park, where all Nordic Walking routes start, head towards the road, then pass the Schloss-Aktiv-Park and the castle pond towards Pfaffenhalde. Through many small hamlets, you reach the Jakobusweg in a wooded area. The Nordic Walking route now runs parallel to this and takes you towards the Iller, which you can look down upon. Passing the Naturfreundehaus, it goes to Rothenstein and through the Grönenbach forest back to the starting point.

Roadbook
From the forest car park, walk towards the road, cross it, and pass the beach volleyball court, the sports fields, the Schloss-Aktiv-Park, and continue to the castle pond. After the pond, turn left, walk through Josef-Hemmerle-Straße into Steinbacher Weg, heading towards the forest. Continue straight into the forest, then steeply downhill (caution!). At the bottom, bear slightly right and then immediately left towards Frauenkau. Here you pass a fish pond before reaching the first houses. After the houses, go slightly uphill through the forest; at the end of the path, turn right at the intersection towards Haitzen. Pass Wegmannhof, follow the road briefly, then continue towards the hamlet "Hohmanns." Shortly before "Schachen," you encounter another road, then turn left into a forested area. At the second fork, turn left again (signposted towards Oberbinnwang/Jakobusweg). The path winds through the forest until you reach the hiking car park at Oberbinnwang. Continue to Oberbinnwang, then turn left towards the Iller. At the next fork, keep left again (from here the detour begins!). The path gently ascends along the forest edge. After the viewpoint at Rotkreuz, turn right towards Naturfreundehaus (Rechberghaus). Past the Naturfreundehaus, the path continues between meadows towards Rothenstein. In Rothenstein, walk a short distance on the road, then turn right on the opposite side past the wading pool (in the brook) into the forest. Here the path goes uphill; at the top, turn right, then at the next fork left again, then at the next intersection right again. The last path leads straight back to the starting point.
