Käppele route

In the 18th century, when the veneration of the farmer saint Wendelinus was especially promoted, Jakob Bächle built a small place of worship in 1738 for the patron saint of the rural people, which quickly attracted many visitors. Therefore, just two years later, he requested permission to serve food and drink to the pilgrims at his farm. This marked the birth of the inn named "Käppelehof." In 1980, the chapel was renovated inside and outside, and the altar niche was newly painted. There, the bust of the cattle saint, which once stood next to St. Empress Helena (now in the village church) on the Kreuzberg, greets visitors.
