Bad ReichenhallRoadbook
At the Jochberg parking lot, we keep right before the western barrier and ascend a path through the forest until we reach a forest road. We walk a while to the left on it and leave it in a tight left curve, following the sign to the Kohleralm to the right. Steeply, it goes up in switchbacks to the Kohleralm, which is only irregularly managed. Now we ascend, following the hiking trail westward, first the Gamskogel, then the Zwiesel and the Zennokopf, before starting the descent back to Jochberg.
After leaving the three 1700-meter peaks behind, we descend in a zigzag pattern southward to the Zwieselalm. Here, continue left on paths downhill through the forest until reaching a forest road. There, turn left, at the next opportunity right, and soon left again, reaching again our starting point at the Jochberg parking lot.
