Beautiful hike with climbing sections from the Zimbajoch. One section is more difficult but equipped with pitons.

From the parking lot at Tschapina, go down to the stream which you cross via the bridge. Then follow the path towards the Saroltlahütte.

Here, choose the path on the far right to reach the Zimbajoch.

The path is well marked and the steepness gradually increases.

At the Joch, head towards Zimba but stay below the ridge on the right side. Here you can walk quite well without a rope as it becomes easier again right away.

Continue following the logical path and the trail markings.

A little later, you reach the most difficult section which first goes left marked by pitons, then continues to the right. Once this rope length is overcome, it continues easily.

Here go straight up and look for the easy path until you reach a belay station with an iron cable on the right. Then ascend diagonally to the left. Going straight up greatly prolongs the time.

After this rope length, it is only a short walk without a rope to the summit.

Descent is the same as ascent. There are enough belay stations for abseiling.
