The rocky peak of the Zielspitze high above Rabland. The long and strenuous mountain route is a very special summit experience.
From Rabland (526 m) with the Texelbahn up to Gigglberghof (1565 m; refreshment stop). From there follow the signpost “Zielspitze” on a marked footpath through meadows and forest, initially quite straight upwards and later in a long left traverse into the steep Schindelbachtal. Just before the stream turn right and climb through the forest to the tree line. Then on the now somewhat exposed path gently ascending left into the Schindeltal almost to the south ridge, here sharply right and in a long, partly level, partly ascending traverse through the extremely steep, but partly grassy summit flank of the Zielspitze (mostly earth path, but sometimes also rocky sections that have to be climbed, grade I) to the sharp northeast ridge; and finally over this (partly climbing grade I on compact schist rock) to the summit cross of the Zielspitze (3006 m); from Gigglberghof about 4 hours – descent: on a marked route north side over rocks and a well-walkable rock ridge down to a notch, right over
