From Latsch via St. Martin to the tame high summit
From Latsch, take the passenger cable car up to the mountain settlement St. Martin im Kofel (1736 m). Then, on the wide route 6/8 mostly through larch forest up to a fenced water reservoir (1941 m), now turning left and continuing on route 6/8 (later only 6) moderately ascending through forest to the tree line and to a shepherd's hut, then in a long, mostly moderately ascending traverse of the rocky mountain slopes to a second shepherd's hut (with emergency shelter) and shortly onwards to the large Niederjöchl cross (2731 m; about 3 hours from St. Martin); now shortly descending west to Niederjöchl (2662 m), then on path 6 along the ridge in multiple ascents and descents, crossing the 2891 m high Rosskopf, westwards to the cross on the flat southwest summit of the Zerminiger (3059) and then continuing to the right following the good marking over the partially sharp but easily walkable block ridge level to slightly ascending to the main summit (3109 m); about 2 hours from Niederjöchl –
