A nearly three-hour route to the summit of Wildbarren, with a magnificent view of the Kaisergebirge.
This path leads mostly through the forest, which is very pleasant during the warm summer months. The route starts at a small car park below the Bichlersee inn. From here, follow the path always towards Wildbarren. Before the summit, you pass the Wildbarren cave and, once at the top, enjoy a magnificent view over the Inn Valley and the Kaisergebirge. The way back takes you past a small chapel towards Bichler-Alm. At a crossroads, the path leads towards the Bichlersee inn, from where it is not far back to the starting point of this route.

The route starts at a small car park slightly below the mountain inn Bichlersee. The path always leads through the forest, making it a very pleasant hike during the warm summer months. At a fork, your path goes to the right towards Wildbarren. At another junction, keep left; here you pass the Wildbarren cave, and now it is not far to the summit. Once at the top, you have a fantastic view of the Inn Valley and the magnificent Kaisergebirge. After a long rest, continue along the path. You pass a small chapel and continue your hike towards Bichler-Alm. At this crossroads, follow the path to Bichlersee, where the Bichlersee inn is a great place to stop with a wonderful view. From the inn, it is only a short downhill walk back to the car park.

From Munich, the route follows the A8 motorway towards Salzburg. At the Inntal triangle, take the A93 motorway towards Kufstein, Innsbruck, and Brenner. After about 20 km driving southwards, exit at Oberaudorf (junction number 59).
From here, head towards the town centre, turn onto Bad-Trisßl-Straße, and follow it to the end. At the intersection near the Bauern inn in Agg, turn left onto Tatzelwurmstraße and at the next junction turn towards Bichlersee. Follow the paved road through the forest until you reach a small car park. This is the start of this route.
