The circular hike leads over the Brixner Hut to the Wild Lake below the Kreuzspitze. Certainly, the Fane Alm is also one of the highlights of this hike.
The hike begins at the parking lot at Ochsensprung, as fortunately, cars are not allowed to drive up to the Fane Alm. The path to the Alm is short. Once there, hikers are greeted by a picturesque alpine village with shingle-covered log cabins, a small chapel, and lush green meadows. From the Fane Alm, take trail number 18 valley inward through the narrowing valley and a genuine rock gorge (Schramme). At the fork, follow trail number 17 straight to the clearly visible Brixner Hut. Now walk on the Pfunderer high route to the Rauhtaljoch at almost 2808 m. Over the pass, hike down to the large mountain lake. The trail circles the almost 600 m long Wild Lake on the east side and then leads in a wide arc to the Labiseben Alm. Further down, the path merges again into the valley and returns to the Fane Alm. Here the circular hike ends.
