HIKING FOOTWEAR (mountain boot or shoe)

In each stage and depending on the condition of the terrain and/or weather forecast, the type of boot height (boot or shoe) will be recommended.

    CLTHING

Since the routes run through a mid and high mountain environment, and because this is a territory where the weather can change quickly and drastically, WE RECOMMEND the following elements regardless of the route difficulty:

    • Long pants. If the route characteristics together with the expected weather allow the use of shorts, bring a piece to cover the exposed part of the leg, either by carrying a second pair of pants or long tights in the backpack in all cases.
    • First layer on the body (shirt), short sleeve, breathable, and quick-drying (tank tops are not recommended as they are not suitable with backpack transport).
    • Second layer on the body, thermal layer consisting of a thin/medium fleece or a long sleeve thermal shirt.
    • Third layer on the body, waterproof and windproof rain jacket with a hood.
    • Cap / Buff or similar for the sun.

Although some of these clothes may not be used during the route, it is recommended to carry them in the backpack throughout the journey and ready to use in case of weather changes or any unforeseen event to avoid hypothermia in case of weather change or incident prolonging the day.

    MINIMUM CONTENT OF THE BACKPACK

    • Mountain backpack of 20-30 liters with its waterproof cover.
    • Personal first aid kit with any special medications required.
    • Water (minimum 2 liters, but this will be confirmed in the briefing).
    • Food (according to route duration).
    • Sunscreen, cap/hat and sunglasses.
    • Documentation and charged phone.
