Vertatscha

From the parking lot, first over the former ski slopes to the middle station. There, overcome an altitude level in steep switchbacks and continue to the abandoned mountain station. From there, a short descent to the Selenica Hut and cross to the right over the wide valley floor. Then always along the southern slope of Vertatscha without much altitude gain or loss until a junction Vertatscha-Hochstuhl. There, turn right and continue to another junction, also right, relatively steep to the ridge. Along the ridge, easy walking until the summit sign. A short part of the path is closed due to a recent rockfall event, but the alternative route is only about 30 m away. Some sure-footedness is required on the ridge, not exposed.
