    Safety information

Altitude and exposure make the area particularly subject to significant weather changes; it is better to have some warm clothing with you.

As you can imagine, the passability of routes in a mountain environment is strictly linked to contingent conditions and therefore depends on natural phenomena, environmental changes, and weather conditions. For this reason, the information contained in this sheet may have changed. Before leaving, check the status of the route by contacting the refuge managers along your route, mountain guides, park visitor centers, and tourist offices.

    Roadbook

From the small parking lot at "Valina d'Amola" take the white road on the left that shortly leads south to the stream "Sarca d’Amola", waymark 211. Before crossing the bridge, turn right and take the path that climbs alongside the stream. Back on the forest road, you will soon reach Malga Valina d’Amola.
Turn right (west), cross the stream on a wooden bridge and at the fork turn right again, heading north. Begin climbing zigzagging up the steep ridge until you reach the summit of the ridge, which you follow until you reach Rifugio Segantini.
Pass the refuge, waymark 216, cross the stream and climb to the top of a ridge, dominated by the majesty of Cima Presanella. From here, descending sharply, you reach the “Costiera di Cornisello” and cross it at elevation until you reach the “Bocchetta dell’Om”, which offers a stunning view of the Cornisello Lakes below.
Descend steeply until you encounter a fork, where you turn right onto the path with waymark 238 until you reach the Lago Nero.
Pass it and continue descending until you reach the Rifugio Cornisello.
Continuing instead on path number 211, it is possible to reach and skirt the Cornisello Lakes, then arrive near the refuge. From the Refuge, following the road of Val Nambrone, return to the small parking lot where you started.
