Unspitze

Start at the parking lot in Baad  towards Güntlespitze and past the lower Derrenalpe on a good hiking trail to the middle Spitalalpe. We go back a short distance to the east  and look for a suitable spot to ascend the eastern ridge. The terrain in the grass steepens up to 45 degrees and we climb up to the broad ridge of the eastern ridge and then simply continue to the summit. The descent is via the narrow western ridge whose key spot is a short drop. However, there are good footholds and grips for climbing down. We cross over towards  Derrajoch with beautiful views.  Once on the hiking trail, we head to the middle Spitalalpe and back into the valley, which on this circular route is crossed to the right side of the brook over a bridge. The path is signposted.
