To the Eidechsspitze

From Terenten (1210 m) follow trail marker 2 along the Mühlenweg to the earth pyramids near the Jeneweinhof, continue to the first of several mills and then left, still following marker 2, uphill to Höfestraße at the upper edge of the meadow slopes (approx. 1450 m, accessible by car via Sonnbergstraße with parking facilities; on foot from Terenten approx. 0:45 h). Now always follow marker 22 with a moderately steep ascent mostly through forest up to mountain meadows and the hut of Englalm (1826 m; from Terenten about 2 h). From there on the footpath (still number 22) in open steep terrain up to the old abandoned hut of Kompfoßalm (2181 m), continue on trail 22 steeply ascending to the eastern ridge of the mountain and easily over it to the summit with the cross (2738 m; from Höfestraße just under 4 h, from Englalm 2:30 h). Descent: via the described ascent route.
