This route leads into the karst landscape of the Dicki Mountains. The Spathi is the highest peak there.
For the most part, the path goes over sand, stones, and scree and shares a section with the European long-distance path E4.

At the chapel where we park, we walk a few meters south on a gravel road directly towards the mountains.
Soon the ground changes and we go with a slight incline along a rather wide scree gully (debris flow). For orientation, there are few red trail markings, occasional cairns, and a few posts marking the long-distance trail E4.
The path is mostly quite monotonous and repeatedly steepens somewhat. Eventually, you reach a plateau with bushes between the stones. From now on, there is a section with better markings (E4) and we ascend a slope to the left.
At the top, arriving in a hollow, we leave the E4 to the left and from here require some sense of orientation, as there are no trail markings for a longer stretch in the rocky terrain. It is best to ascend at not too steep points in small self-chosen zigzags.
Some old snowfields can make orientation more difficult in spring.
Only at the final ascent are clear trail markers visible again.
The return route is the same as the ascent path.
