The "Wilde Grat" extends from Großer Wilden (2379 m) over Vorderer Wilden (2241 m) to Kreuzkopf (2287 m) and further eastwards to Hochvogel (2592 m). A very demanding route leads from Giebelhaus through the Bärgündle valley up to the Prinz-Luitpold-Haus and further via the Wilde Grat to Großer Wilden, then back via the Schönberg hut. The route is an alpine undertaking without a path with climbing sections. One of the biggest challenges in the Allgäu and only suitable for experts.
