Scenic hike to the Bichlalm and further to the Remsteinkopf
Our hike starts at the Bichlalm car park or above the Hotel Lammwirt in the Ellmautal. From there we walk about 1 1/2 hours along the forest road to the Bichlalm. There is also a second path that after about 30 minutes leads right from the forest road over the Himmelsleiter to the Bichlalm. However, it is very steep and challenging, as the name suggests. Shortly before the alp, a cozy bench invites us to rest. Here you can enjoy the wonderful panorama of the Bichlalm and the surrounding mountains. From the Bichlalm, a narrow hiking path leads us about 1 hour further up to the Remsteinkopf. The panorama at the summit is incomparable. You also have good chances to observe deer and roe deer during the rut season on autumn days. From the summit, return by the same path to the Bichlalm. Here you have the opportunity to enjoy homemade delicacies such as bacon, cheese, butter, bread, dairy products, cakes, and schnapps. After the rest, return by the same path to the car park.
