The beautiful and easy ascent with a view of the Drei Zinnen from a very special perspective
Cross the state road and just after the bridge, marking 34 or Dolomites High Route No. 3 shows the way along the stream to the right; follow it. After a few minutes, you reach the rock walls of the Franchi climbing garden and right afterwards the path begins to ascend. In a long traverse and several switchbacks, you reach a saddle (1925 m). A wooden ladder with a handrail leads along the rock. Then follows a small rock passage and a handrope-secured traverse. Shortly after, you are in the Helltal with bubbling spring water, and the path leads up to the Strudelkopf saddle (2200 m). Now it is only a few minutes until you reach the summit of Strudelkopf (2307 m). Next to it stands a newly erected wind rose, offering a magnificent 360-degree panoramic view. - Descent: same as ascent.
