You rarely get this close to the Olperer unless you climb it directly. An incredible viewpoint!

Actually, the Stone Lamb is not a peak, but more a whim of nature. This breathtaking stone formation immediately catches your eye as soon as you are at an altitude of about 2100m. The closer you get to the formation, the clearer the "sheep shape" becomes. Standing directly in front of it, you actually only see stacked stone slabs. Therefore, some distance from the goal is useful. Moreover, you are fascinated anyway by the proximity and the panorama around the Olperer, so your eyes are only for it.
Author’s recommendation
Very well doable as a bike and hike route. The long approach via the forest road to the point (2085m) can then be covered by bike, which greatly facilitates the descent.

Roadbook
From the parking lot in Holzebensiedlung, it initially goes quite leisurely on the forest road along the "Kreuzweg" towards the "Kalte Herberge" to the northeast. This small chapel is not directly on the way, but a short detour is worthwhile. Then continue southeast into the Wildlahnertal. Here you meet the alternative starting point at the entrance to the Wildlahnertal. Now it always goes southeast on the right side of the creek into the valley. The forest road winds up in several hairpin bends until it eventually disappears. Now it continues on a very well-marked trail. Initially still through alpine rose bushes and meadows, the vegetation decreases until you are finally on gravelly terrain. The rock formation of the "Lamb" is always in view. Soon you reach a kind of saddle/ridge on which you continue eastward. A short descent follows over a secured rope passage. Immediately afterward, you go up again over slabs and the goal is reached. You can now go further on the slabs to the end to be even closer to the Olperer. But be careful, there is no official path here anymore and the slabs are partly crisscrossed with deep rock crevices. The descent follows the ascent route with the perspective being completely new again.
