The hut connection from the Fiderepass to the Mindelheimer hut is one of the easiest hut connections in the Allgäu Alps. From the Fiderepass hut we first hike to the Fiderepass and then on to the Fiderescharte. In hot summer months, ibexes often gather here, seeking the shady northern slopes. The terrain after crossing the Fiderescharte resembles a lunar landscape. The panoramic path high above the Rappental leads us downhill first, then mostly flat to the Mindelheimer hut after the ascent to the notch. Along the way we can enjoy beautiful views of the Rappental, the main ridge of the Allgäu Alps and the impressive Biberkopf.
