(2) The path begins opposite the parking lot at the pass at a large stone with a marking for a long-distance trail. The ascent then leads through mountain pines and scree, over stones and flower-speckled meadows. Any snowfields still remaining from the previous winter must be crossed. The route climbs upwards, the north face of Mala Mojstrovka is impressive and clearly visible. Soon you reach a meadow "Sleme", which invites you to linger in good weather. The summit is then reached shortly from there.
The summit is bordered by various plants. Mint and other flowers spread their scents. The view is magnificent over the surrounding mountain ranges of the Julian Alps. Below the summit on the Sleme are water-filled basins. Depending on the season, these are teeming with alpine newts.
(3) On the way back, you can take the path below the north face of Mala Mojstrovka. This path is steeper and should be avoided if there is still a lot of snow and appropriate equipment is missing. In addition, this north face is prone to rockfall. If you take the path over the steep gravel paths, you reach the trail again at 1607m at the Vratica Pass, where you came up in (2).
