Silbereck

From the Arsenhaus parking lot, go 1.5 km downhill along the road until a property appears on the right; below that take the forest road. Follow the forest road to the Altenbergerbach, then continue along the whole valley to the valley end. The path or trail is clearly visible. Before the valley end, turn right onto the ridge; the entry is marked with a red arrow. Follow the fading red dots along the ridge to the summit. Descent on hiking trail 542 through a chimney with loose scree (please be careful). The descent is the most difficult part; a rope is hanging at the lower end of the chimney for safety. From the Rotgüldensee hut, take hiking trail 541 back to the parking lot. The route can also be done in the reverse direction.
