Sentiero Durissini
The Sentiero Durissini is a circuit around the central peaks of the Cadini di Misurina, which form the southern end of the Sexten Dolomites. Amidst the wild towers, peaks, pinnacles, and jagged ridges, the route ascends and descends constantly through numerous cols such as Forcella Ciadin Deserto or Forcella della Torre. Variety is provided not only by some ladders and secured rock passages but also by constantly changing views far beyond the rugged karst peaks of the Cadini group. The route is therefore only suitable for mountaineers with sufficient alpine experience and sure-footedness. From the mountain station of the Col de Varda lift, the route first leads to the Rifugio Città di Carpi. From there, the Sentiero Durissini runs along the east face of the central Cadini group towards the north until the wonderfully situated Rifugio Fratelli Fonda Savio is finally reached.
