A cosy peak in the midst of a grandiose mountain world. This mountain stands between the mighty peaks of the Texel Group and the Ötztal Alps, which are almost all higher. You have a fantastic panoramic view, virtually at eye level with the three-thousand-metre peaks.
From Pfelders take the chairlift (valley station at the village exit) to the Grünboden hut. The trail leads past the hut on the right in a southerly direction to the summit (signposted "Sefiar"). First you walk up the ski slope to a small yoke. Then you hike along the steeper trail to the clearly visible summit. For the way back to the Grünboden hut, take the same route. From the hut, a wide, only moderately steep path leads through the forest in a wide curve back to Pfelders (add 1 hour to the total walking time). Or you can take the chairlift back to the starting point.
