A beautiful summit route with a magnificent panoramic view at the Salzburg/Styria border. View also of the Carinthian Nockberge.
Author’s recommendation
This route is most beautiful in autumn when the larch forest changes color. Diligent mountaineers relax best in the to be pampered.

Tamsweg DorferhütteSafety information
Since the weather in the mountains can change very quickly, we always recommend carrying rainwear as well as a hat and gloves. If you have questions about the right equipment or the weather, please contact our staff at the Wellnesshotel Eggerwirt****Roadbook
You start at the Klauswirt and go to the first bridge and then toward the Klausegg ruin. Directly at the wall of the Klausegg ruin, the hiking trail branches off to the right and you follow the blue markings through clearings and small young forests until you reach the forest road, where the sign for Dorferhütte is indicated. Follow this forest road for another 40 minutes and you will reach the Dorferhütte. From the Dorferhütte, follow the forest road until you see the Gstoder junction. From the ridge of the Gstoder, it goes up to the summit cross. The return route follows the same forest road, and instead of going past the ruin, you can follow the forest road to the elementary school and then the last 400 meters along the federal road back to the Klauswirt.
