Wonderful viewpoint mountain above the Enns Valley. The view from the summit stretches over the Haller Mauern, the Dead Mountains, to the Höllengebirge and to Traunstein. Not only the dreamlike view but also the year-round operated Schobersteinhaus give the route its uniqueness.

From the parking lot, the path runs briefly over a meadow and then branches off into the forest. Here it goes partly steeply uphill on a well-marked path. Eventually, the forest path flows into a cart track, which we followed for a while through the forest until it narrowed again and took the form of a forest path. Over partly somewhat rocky forest ground we climbed, reached the forest road for the first time and followed it a short way to the right. You could now continue following the forest road or shortcut via a forest path. We chose the latter option. A renewed crossing of the forest road presents the same choice again. Upon the third (and last) reaching of the forest road, follow it a bit to the right until a path branches off on the left. To reach the Schoberstein and Schobersteinhaus, you can take both options which run parallel to each other. A few minutes later the Schobersteinhaus is visible for the first time, but we initially turned our backs to it. Immediately behind it rises the Schoberstein summit, which is marked by an iron column. A small rock in front with a nature friend symbol catches the eye when passing by and invites a short climb. The symbol has reminded of the nature friends since 1953. The summit cross of the Schoberstein lies still a few minutes away to the east. Before we began the descent, a lengthy visit to the Schobersteinhaus was planned. The descent was finally along the ascent route.
