Then continue following path no. 213 and at 1700 m you reach a viewpoint where you can again admire the Dreibrüdersee, about 1 km away and lying deep down to the far left.
A detour to the lake would certainly be worthwhile, but this should be considered appropriately in the schedule.
Follow path no. 213 further and circle around Salzofen, 2072 m high, with its rugged rock formations. Near the ridge, enjoy the magnificent view and realize where the name Totes Gebirge actually comes from. Following the now easy path, you finally reach a signposted junction at 1900 m that leads to Wildgößl 2062 m in 30 minutes - but we follow the planned route right down to Abblasbühel (no. 213).
At 1852 m you leave path 213 and now follow the new path no. 201 to a hunting hut.
Here you reach path no. 214, which leads from Gössl to Pühringerhütte and then follows past the two Lahngang lakes over Schafbichl to Drausengatterl and Kanzlermoos to the tour exit in Schachen.
A break at the Lahngang lakes is a must to capture the unique and impressive landscape scenery with your camera.
