Ruitelspitzen

We start from Oberschönau along the toboggan run and across the Ruitel bridge, using a narrow path which crosses a forest road twice. The second time we go left and emerge from the mountain forest at a hut and the forest pastures Tajen at the height of the Karlesloch. Across beautiful grassy slopes of the Ronige plain, we keep right towards the Wilde plain. Over a left traverse of a rugged drop with mountain pines, it goes sharply right into a sparsely vegetated hollow on the Wildebnerspitze (2295 m). We walk on the northwest ridge of the western Ruitelspitze over crumbly rocks to a shoulder and then southwest to the summit. The cross is on the middle summit and first requires a descent into a double notch secured with wire ropes and then climbs over brittle rock to the cross. Time required about 45 minutes one way.
