Easy forest and alpine hike with a steep summit ridge interspersed with rocky outcrops
Follow the road (Mark. 38B) to the Haspahöfe and further just before the Ladstatthof. At the last hairpin turn go straight and then in several hairpin turns – always following Mark. 38B – up to the Rudlgraben at 1870 m. Leave the forest road and follow a path with a gate on the left upwards to the Stadlwiesen. Orchids are often companions of the hike here. On the right, it goes over the summit slope of the Rudlhorn up to a flattening of the terrain at 2100 m; the path – now marked 54B – becomes steeper and leads into the rocky sections of the summit ridge and then to the summit cross. Descent: It now continues via the northeast ridge into the saddle between Rudlhorn and Eisatz at 2388 m. A newly created path (Mark. 54A) leads north into flat alpine terrain. At a fork with several branches, take marking 38, go down left and soon reach – already visible from the saddle – the Taistner Vorderalm at 1992 m. From here, follow the alpine road, down three hairpin bends and after crossing
